A camping ax is a versatile tool that can perform many functions. Main technical characteristics
Since steel grades U7 and U8 are used to make the blade, they are easily sharpened. In this process, the carbon steel is hardened, resulting in the edge of the blade becoming highly hard. Ax handles are mainly made of oak, ash and calico. When designing some models of axes, genuine leather is used - it is usually used to trim the ax handle.
Depending on the model, the proportions and sizes of tourist axes change. The sharpening angle of the blade is usually less than 30 degrees, but this parameter can vary widely. Therefore, when choosing a suitable version of a tourist hatchet, it is advisable to imagine what types of work will be performed with its help.
The surface of the blades is decorated with relief engraving, which will probably not be erased and will be visible throughout the life of the hatchet.
